SHOTEA brings to you traditional Chinese tea leaves from hundred years old tea trees. These trees have been continuously cultivated, harvested and dried in traditional tea villages of Dazhaicun and Chafangxiang, Yunnan, China.
The highlands where these trees grow are constantly blanketed with clouds resulting in greener leaves. These ancient tea tree leaves are sweeter and richer in vitamins and minerals.
SHOTEA Pu’erh tea leaves are harvested from 500 year old ancient vine tea trees and processed in the time-consuming longer traditional production process which results in raw (shēng) pu’erh. In this longer process, raw pu’erh undergoes slow oxidation and develops an earthy component to its taste. This aging process produces a complex flavour that is easy to enjoy by young and old alike.
